The easiest way to download video from YouTube for iPod

1. Add a bookmarklet

To download videos is to save the following link as a bookmarklet by dragging it to your Links bar (in Firefox, Safari) or right-clicking and adding it to your favorites (in Internet Explorer, Opera):

Get YouTube video

When you want to download a YouTube video, just click on "Get YouTube video" and the bookmarklet adds a small link below the video's description: "download standard MP4". Click on that link and you'll download the video. For some videos, you'll also see the option to download the HD version.

Watch the video below for more detailed instructions:

Download YouTube Videos from Ionut on Vimeo.

You can also check the all in one bookmarklet .

2.Minor URL change

If you change the "Y" in the youtube.com address to "3," 3outube provides links for downloading that video in MP4 or FLV formats.
hat's all there is to it, really—any YouTube video you want to download, just click on the YouTube logo in the lower-right corner of an embedded clip to get to the main YouTube page, then change the "Y" in YouTube.com to "3." Neat stuff, and it worked on all five of the test clips I sent its way.

2.a.

Load the URL for the video in your browser:

http ://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOgHE5nEq04

Insert the word "kick" between the www. and the youtube.com section of the URL:

http://www.kickyoutube.com/watch?v=uOgHE5nEq04

That's it! After you send that URL, the page will reload with the KickYouTube toolbar at the top of the screen, as seen in the screenshot above. From there you can download the file from YouTube as an FLV, MPG, MP3, and even HD MP4.
