I recently bought CELESTRON PowerSeeker 127EQ Telescope and found the following video very informative and short for quick setup
[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=te8a_YwyvLw]I tried to set it up and take few pictures by just placing my small digital camera (Nikon 3200) and result was better than expected

Other way is to use Universal Digital Camera Adapter for Astrophotography.
I will keep updating my notes as I keep reading and discovering more information.
